Providence College of Engineering is an officially recognized Nodal Centre under the Virtual Labs Initiative of the Ministry of Education, Government of India, coordinated by the National Institute of Technology Karnataka (NITK), Surathkal. Developed under the National Mission on Education through ICT (NMEICT), it provides access to more than 160 laboratory courses and over 1,200 virtual experiments covering engineering and science disciplines.
Providence College of Engineering has signed an MoU with CMTI, Bengaluru — an autonomous R&D organization under the Ministry of Heavy Industries, Government of India. The collaboration aims to bridge the gap between academia and industry through the CMTI Academic Affiliate Programme (CAAP), exposing students and faculty to Industry 4.0, Smart Manufacturing, Precision Engineering, MEMS, Metrology, Automation, and Advanced Manufacturing Technologies.
A tripartite Industry Institute Interactive Training Programme (IIITP) established to provide industry-oriented skill development training aligned with National Occupational Standards and PMKVY requirements, empowering students with job-ready technical expertise.

The collaboration supports Student Project Management Club activities, professional project management certifications, workshops and seminars, mentorship programmes, and professional networking opportunities — building future-ready project leaders in the tech space.
The collaboration focuses on Building Information Modelling (BIM), Faculty Immersion Programmes, Industry-Oriented Training, Student Internships, Construction Technology Skill Development, and Industry Certifications — equipping Civil Engineering students with the digital and practical skills demanded by the modern construction industry.
ARAI, one of India's premier automotive R&D organizations, collaborates with Providence College of Engineering to strengthen industry-oriented education and skill development in Automotive Engineering and Electric Mobility. The collaboration facilitates curriculum enrichment, industrial training, internships, placement opportunities, joint research, expert lectures, and access to ARAI laboratories and workshops for hands-on learning.
Providence College of Engineering signed an MoU with TNEI Services India Pvt. Ltd. to strengthen industry-academia collaboration in Power System Analysis and Simulation. Students and faculty gain access to IPSA (Interactive Power System Analysis) software under the EduLite Educational Package for academic, research, project development, and training activities — enabling hands-on experience in Load Flow Analysis, Fault Analysis, Protection Studies, Harmonic Analysis, Transient Stability Analysis, Contingency Analysis, and Power System Automation.
The MoU with InterCAD Systems Pvt. Ltd. aims to strengthen academic-industry interaction through student training, faculty development programmes, certification courses, skill enhancement initiatives, and industry-oriented learning in Electrical Engineering, Electrical MEP, CAD, and allied domains. The collaboration supports curriculum enrichment, Outcome-Based Education (OBE), NBA/NAAC-aligned activities, internships, placement support, and specialized software training. Faculty members also benefit from annual FDPs on Revit MEP and other advanced engineering software.
