
The Department of Mechanical Engineering at Providence College of Engineering, Chengannur, successfully organised a 5-Day Online Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on Computer Aided Design & Analysis from 21st to 25th April 2025 The programme was conducted through Google Meet and attracted enthusiastic participation from faculty and staff members of AICTE-approved institutions across the country The FDP was designed to provide faculty with deeper insights into CAD tools and analysis methodologies that are widely used in modern engineering practice Sessions featured a blend of theoretical discussions and hands-on demonstrations, enabling participants to enhance both their conceptual understanding and practical application skills in addition to technical content, the programme included exclusive talks on best practices in technical education, equipping faculty with innovative approaches to teaching and mentoring students in design-related subjects Coordinated by Mr Akhil S Prasad, Assistant Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering, the FDP was well-received by participants for its structured content, practical orientation, and professional relevance The successful completion of this FDP reaffirmed Providence College’s commitment to empowering faculty members with contemporary skills and promoting excellence in engineering education
