On 12th December 2022, Dr. Libin P Oommen, head of the department of mechanical engineering conducted a session on "Biomimetics for Research and Entrepreneurship" for the final year trainee engineers. The session explored the fascinating field of using nature-inspired designs and solutions to solve human problems including the definition of biomimetics, its applications, and the principles behind it, and the benefits of biomimetics and how it can contribute to solving real-world problems.
