Genesis 2 0, a National-Level Hackathon, was conducted on 31st January and 1st February 2026 as a 24-hour offline innovation challenge, providing a collaborative platform for undergraduate students to ideate, innovate, and develop technology-driven solutions to real-world problems The event was organised by μLearn PRC in collaboration with Providence College of Engineering, Chengannur, marking the second edition of the Genesis hackathon series following the successful execution of Genesis 1 0 The hackathon featured an attractive prize pool of ₹50, 000 and witnessed participation from shortlisted student teams representing various institutions across the country The programme was formally launched during the Walkathon Inauguration at The Hatchery Junction, followed by the inauguration ceremony at the MBA Seminar Hall, Kalam Centre, at 10:00 AM The inauguration marked the official commencement of GENESIS 2 0 and set the tone for the intensive innovation-driven event The hackathon officially began at 12:00 PM on 31st January 2026, with teams engaging in a continuous 24-hour development challenge Participants collaborated on problem statements, supported by peer interaction and an environment that fostered creativity, teamwork, and critical thinking Structured meals and refreshment breaks were provided to ensure participant well-being throughout the event on 1st February 2026, the hackathon concluded at 12:00 PM, followed by project presentations and evaluations conducted from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM Teams presented their solutions before an expert evaluation panel, receiving valuable feedback on innovation, feasibility, and impact The programme concluded with the Valedictory Session and Prize Distribution at 5:00 PM, recognising outstanding projects and innovative efforts Genesis 2 0 successfully promoted experiential learning, interdisciplinary collaboration, and problem-solving skills among students, reinforcing the institution’s commitment to nurturing innovation, technology leadership, and a strong student-driven learning ecosystem
