On 17th July 2025, the orientation programme for the BTech 2025–2029 batch featured a forward-looking session titled “Innovate Forward” at the Einstein Centre Seminar Hall The session was delivered by Mr Midhun Manikandan, Entrepreneur, Founder, and CTO of Jezt AI With his expertise in artificial intelligence and entrepreneurial ventures, he inspired the freshers to see innovation as the driving force of engineering Mr Manikandan began by sharing his journey as a young entrepreneur, highlighting the challenges and opportunities that shaped his career He emphasised the importance of cultivating an innovative mindset to stay relevant in an era defined by rapid technological advancements Drawing on his experience at Jezt AI, he explained how AI-powered solutions are transforming industries He encouraged students to think beyond conventional boundaries in applying technology to solve societal and industrial challenges The session also covered the essentials of entrepreneurship, risk-taking, and perseverance, urging students to view failures as stepping stones to success Through interactive discussions, Mr Manikandan engaged the students in brainstorming ideas that could potentially evolve into impactful innovations His talk was both motivating and practical, leaving the new batch with a strong belief that innovation is not just for a few but a culture that every engineer must embrace
