On 21st July 2025, the BTech 2025–2029 orientation programme featured an inspiring session titled “Startup Diaries” at the Einstein Centre Seminar Hall The session was conducted by Mr Ananthakrishnan U S, Employee Relations Manager at UST, who brought valuable insights from both corporate and entrepreneurial perspectives Mr Ananthakrishnan shared his professional journey, highlighting how startups create a dynamic space for innovation, experimentation, and problem-solving He explained the challenges young entrepreneurs face, from resource constraints to market competition, and how resilience, adaptability, and teamwork can help overcome them His talk also underlined the significance of creativity, risk-taking, and the ability to identify real-world problems as the foundation of successful ventures The session introduced students to the vibrant startup ecosystem in India and Kerala, motivating them to explore entrepreneurial opportunities alongside their academic journey He encouraged the new batch to take advantage of campus resources, mentorship opportunities, and industry linkages to pursue their innovative ideas Interactive discussions and case studies gave students a practical understanding of how startups grow from concept to execution The session ended on a motivational note, reminding students that entrepreneurship is not just about building businesses but about creating meaningful impact
