BTech in Computer Science & Engineering (Cybersecurity, IoT & Blockchain Technology)

This interdisciplinary department trains students to secure digital systems, design IoT-enabled devices, and develop blockchain solutions. The curriculum covers cybersecurity principles, IoT frameworks, and blockchain protocols, equipping students to meet the challenges of a connected and decentralised digital future.

Our vision is to emerge as the pinnacle of research and learning in the field of Computer Science, the Internet of Things, Cybersecurity and Blockchain Technology, yield top professionals with a predominant skillset, excellent leadership qualities, and a pledged commitment to society.

  1. To produce and nurture quality engineers in the field of Computer Science, Internet of Things, Cyber Security and Block Chain Technology with sound knowledge in state-of-the-art technology across various disciplines.
  2. To strengthen our graduates and gear them up to face the real-world challenges by creating an ambience to move towards innovation and its accomplishment through digital thinking.
  3. To induce social responsibilities and Human Values in our graduates.

Our graduates shall

  • Aanalyse and develop essential proficiency in the areas related to data communication, networking, cyber security and software- hardware aspects of a computer.
  • Use professional engineering practices, methods, and skills to develop efficient solutions using Internet of Things.
  • Have expertise in state-of-the-art technologies, build optimal solutions to real-life problems through Blockchain Technology that enrich the life by disseminating knowledge among the people.
  1. Engineering Knowledge: Apply knowledge of mathematics, natural science, computing, engineering fundamentals and an engineering specialization as specified in WK1 to WK4 respectively to develop to the solution of complex engineering problems.
  2. Problem Analysis: Identify, formulate, review research literature and analyze complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions with consideration for sustainable development. (WK1 to WK4)
  3. Design/Development of Solutions: Design creative solutions for complex engineering problems and design/develop systems/components/processes to meet identified needs with consideration for the public health and safety, whole-life cost, net zero carbon, culture, society and environment as required. (WK5)
  4. Conduct Investigations of Complex Problems: Conduct investigations of complex engineering problems using research-based knowledge including design of experiments, modelling, analysis & interpretation of data to provide valid conclusions. (WK8).
  5. Engineering Tool Usage: Create, select and apply appropriate techniques, resources and modern engineering & IT tools, including prediction and modelling recognizing their limitations to solve complex engineering problems. (WK2 and WK6)
  6. The Engineer and The World: Analyze and evaluate societal and environmental aspects while solving complex engineering problems for its impact on sustainability with reference to economy, health, safety, legal framework, culture and environment. (WK1, WK5, and WK7).
  7. Ethics: Apply ethical principles and commit to professional ethics, human values, diversity and inclusion; adhere to national & international laws. (WK9)
  8. Individual and Collaborative Team work: Function effectively as an individual, and as a member or leader in diverse/multi-disciplinary teams.
  9. Communication: Communicate effectively and inclusively within the engineering community and society at large, such as being able to comprehend and write effective reports and design documentation, make effective presentations considering cultural, language, and learning differences.
  10. Project Management and Finance: Apply knowledge and understanding of engineering management principles and economic decision-making and apply these to one’s own work, as a member and leader in a team, and to manage projects and in multidisciplinary environments.

The graduates will

  • Be experts in the field of Computer Science and Engineering, Cyber security , Internet of Things and Block Chain Technology with sound knowledge and hands-on experience in the latest technologies, excellent problem-solving skills, along with a strong desire to learn and update themselves and be able to devise the best solutions for all the engineering problems they encounter.
  • Develop the ability for collaborative learning and the spirit of team work, have profound communication skills, and exceptional leadership skills that benefit them to grow as leaders or entrepreneurs.
  • Be committed to society, responsible to take care of the needy, and behold personal and professional ethics in all their endeavours.

Cyber Security, IoT, and Blockchain Technology represent cutting-edge fields driving the digital revolution. This department provides students with a solid foundation in securing systems against cyber threats, building smart IoT devices, and creating blockchain-based solutions for transparency and decentralisation. With a focus on practical training and research, students learn to implement real-world applications, such as smart home devices, secure communication networks, and digital currencies. Industry exposure and mentorship ensure graduates are ready to innovate in these rapidly growing domains.

The curriculum covers core subjects like network security, cryptography, and IoT architecture, advancing to specialised areas like blockchain development, ethical hacking, and smart contracts. Hands-on projects include designing IoT-enabled systems, creating secure blockchain platforms, and simulating cybersecurity breaches. Internships and workshops ensure that students develop the skills needed to excel in high-demand roles across diverse industries.
